Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law, Udayana University Conducts Legal Outreach and Community Empowerment Program in Desa Adat Rendang
Karangasem – The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law, Udayana University (BEM FH Unud), has successfully conducted the Legal Socialization and Community Development Program (SOSHUM DESBIN) 2025 in Desa Adat Rendang, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency. This initiative is part of the Community Service division’s work program, held throughout May to June 2025.
Carrying the theme “Abhinaya Ananta Bhakti”, which translates to The Spirit of Endless Devotion, the program aimed to provide basic legal education on key legal issues while also supporting the local community in legal and administrative matters. Additionally, it sought to empower the village's potential in a sustainable way. This year’s SOSHUM DESBIN featured a series of activities including: the Opening Ceremony, Students Care for the Environment, Paralegal Training, Juvenile Justice Socialization, Personal Intellectual Property Registration, Business Identification Number (NIB) Registration, Sekolah Mentari Program, and the Closing Ceremony.
The event received an overwhelmingly positive response, particularly from the residents of Desa Rendang. The organizing committee also collaborated with local youth communities such as BERMUARA 2025 and POLENGART COMMUNITY. In addition, strategic partnerships were established with stakeholders including BRIDA of Bali Province, Ministry of Law and Human Rights (KEMKUM) Bali Office, LBH Lingkar Karma, Provincial Environmental Agency (DKLH) of Bali, and Hasanuddin University.
This year, the SOSHUM DESBIN 2025 committee successfully facilitated the registration of 38 Personal Intellectual Property Rights and 35 Business Identification Numbers (NIB), as well as conducted paralegal training sessions for the community.
