The event was attended by the Rector of Udayana University, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., along with university leaders and the organizing committee of the 63rd Dies Natalis.

The series of activities began with a joint prayer involving the entire university leadership as an expression of devotion and gratitude to Ida Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa. Following the prayer, ceremonial cloths (wastra) were presented to the temple priests (pemangku) as a gesture of respect and support for their role in leading religious ceremonies at the temple. As part of the effort to help maintain the temple’s cleanliness, cleaning equipment such as trash bins and brooms were also donated.

The event continued with a clean-up activity in the temple area. Beyond maintaining physical cleanliness, this activity also symbolized spiritual purification, reflecting the reverence for sacred spaces. To conclude the event, Udayana University made a sincere donation (dana punia) to support the continuation of religious activities and the preservation of Pura Luhur Silayukti.

The Rector, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, S.T., Ph.D., emphasized that this activity is not merely a form of physical service, but also a tangible commitment from Udayana University to preserve the cultural, spiritual, and social values of the Balinese community.

“At 63 years old, Udayana University remains committed to developing into one of the leading universities, not only in Bali but also at the national and international levels. We invite all members of the academic community to prepare themselves for future transformations in our journey toward becoming a superior university aligned with our vision — excellence, independence, cultural grounding, and global competitiveness,” stated the Rector.

Through this community service initiative, Udayana University reaffirms its role as an educational institution that not only focuses on academics and research but also helps maintain a balance between the advancement of knowledge and the preservation of the noble cultural and spiritual values of society.
