To Expand the Scope of the Professional Certification Institute (LSP), Udayana University Holds a Coordination Meeting Attended by Faculty Leaders

Jimbaran – Udayana University held a Coordination Meeting on the Expansion of the Scope of the Professional Certification Institute (LSP), which took place in the Nusa Room of the Rectorate Building at the Jimbaran Campus on Wednesday (July 23, 2025). This event was attended by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, representing the Rector of Udayana University, Faculty Leaders, and the Head of LSP Unud.
The Professional Certification Institute serves as a key bridge connecting university graduates with an increasingly competitive job market. Through competency certification, it not only provides recognition of students' technical skills but also strengthens their position in the workforce as ready-to-work professionals.

In his remarks, Vice-Rector Prof. I Gede Rai Maya Temaja stated that expanding the scope of Udayana University's LSP is a highly strategic step in supporting the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy, as well as in enhancing the relevance of academic programs to the needs of industry and society. He therefore called on all Deans and faculty leaders to fully support this initiative by mapping out the potential of academic programs, encouraging the development of new certification schemes, and strengthening synergy with industry partners and professional associations.

"We must work together to ensure that the certification process conducted by the LSP meets both national and international standards, while also being accessible to students and alumni. In doing so, we can realize the university’s vision of becoming a center of excellence in the development of competent and highly competitive human resources," said the Vice-Rector.

He expressed hope that this coordination meeting would serve as a productive forum to formulate strategic steps, define roles, and establish a timeline for implementing the expansion of the LSP’s scope at Udayana University moving forward.
