Udayana University Hospital Celebrates 7th Anniversary with the Spirit of Rising Together and Healing to Serve
Jimbaran – Udayana University Hospital (RS Unud) commemorated its 7th Anniversary on Friday, September 12, 2025, with a celebration held in the Auditorium Hall of the hospital building at Jimbaran Campus. The event was marked by a symbolic cake-cutting and tumpeng ceremony by the Hospital Director, preceded by a performance from the winners of the Handwashing Creativity Competition, represented by the ICU and Pharmacy departments. The celebration was attended by the Rector of Udayana University, the Hospital Director along with Vice Directors, and the RS Unud management team.
In her report, Prof. Dr. dr. Anak Agung Wiradewi Lestari, S.Ked., Sp.PK(K), Director of RS Unud, stated that this 7th anniversary celebration was an effort to strengthen togetherness under the theme “Rising Together, Healing to Serve.” Originally planned as a modest event, the celebration expanded to include various competitions thanks to the enthusiasm and talent within RS Unud. She expressed hope that this spirit of togetherness would drive the hospital forward and enable it to deliver excellent patient care. She also highlighted the hospital’s recent management initiatives and efforts aimed at achieving the best outcomes for RS Unud.
Meanwhile, Prof. Ir. I Ketut Sudarsana, ST., Ph.D, Rector of Udayana University, congratulated RS Unud on its 7th anniversary, noting that the number seven is a symbolic and auspicious number that marks the beginning of future success. He expressed hope that, despite the challenges the hospital is facing, the staff can continue to find joy and stay motivated in line with the hospital’s inspiring motto. The Rector reaffirmed the university’s commitment to supporting the hospital, which he described as one of Udayana University's proudest assets. He emphasized the importance of ensuring the hospital continues to serve both the general public and Udayana students.
“No matter the circumstances, we will work together to find solutions. One day, when this hospital grows even greater, it will become a true source of pride,” he said.
The Rector also expressed appreciation to the hospital’s management team for their continuous efforts in addressing various challenges. Noting the availability of vacant land around the hospital, he highlighted the strong potential for further development. He also stated his intention to encourage the leadership at the Faculty of Medicine to actively support the hospital.
The 7th anniversary celebration of RS Unud is expected to serve as a beacon of hope and a driving force in enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided by the hospital.
